The FDIC's Division of Risk Management Supervision seeks a technical expert to support the agency's emerging technology policy and examination functions.
Qualified applicants are Commissioned Examiners, with experience in examinations of financial institutions and risk management related to AI/ML and digital assets, and will develop and deliver training to internal and external audiences.
This position is located in the Division of Risk Management Supervision (RMS) and is responsible for serving as a technical expert to support the FDIC's emerging technology policy and examination functions.

Qualifying experience is credited from private and public sectors, including paid and unpaid service (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps). CG-15: Applicants must complete one year of specialized experience equivalent to the CG/GS-14 level or above in Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as conducting examinations of financial institutions and developing supervisory policies related to emerging technologies such as digital assets, digital asset custody, and associated risk management functions or artificial intelligence/machine learning and model risk management; experience developing and delivering training and presentations to internal and external audiences such as executives, industry representatives, or the public related to emerging technology.
