Job summary

Form Energy is seeking a Staff Simulation Engineer in the United States to advance multi-day energy storage from R&D to full-scale deployment. You will own the thermal-fluid architecture and lead CFD-driven design decisions across scaled systems.

Lead high-fidelity simulations, validate with data, and drive automated workflows spanning electrochemical, mechanical, and power electronics interfaces, with relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with significant thermal-fluid experience or advanced degrees with relevant focus.
• Deep CFD codes expertise and meshing software experience.
• Proficient in Python or MATLAB for data processing and automation.
• Ability to translate simulations into system-level requirements.
• Collaborative, cross-disciplinary communication skills.
• Curiosity about complex thermal-fluid phenomena.

Responsibilities

• Architect high-fidelity CFD and transient thermal models across scales.
• Validate models against experimental data with test teams.
• Develop automated simulation and optimization workflows.
• Collaborate with electrochemical, mechanical, and power electronics teams.
• Select methodologies and boundary conditions to identify hot spots.
• Standardize modeling workflows and conduct peer reviews.
• Identify gaps and build custom tools to avoid design blockers.
