Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a pharmacy technician.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician and must complete an 'advanced pharmacy technician certification' within 12 months of starting.

Responsibilities

• Receives and transcribes orders, answers phones, and sells prescriptions to maintain the pharmacy workflow.
• Works with pharmacy purchasing agent to maintain inventory.
• Serves as a reference for other pharmacy technicians.
• Mentors and trains new employees to build knowledge of the job area.
• Leads and implements process improvement and departmental quality initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
