CFS in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a Senior Certified Payroll Specialist with strong union payroll experience to own the payroll function, ensure accuracy, and drive process improvements across the organization.

You will process payroll for union and non-union staff, manage certified payroll reporting, apply union wage rates and deductions, maintain accurate records, and respond to questions while ensuring regulatory compliance and timely audits.

• 5+ years of payroll experience

Responsibilities

• Process accurate and timely payroll for union and non-union employees
• Manage certified payroll requirements and related reporting
• Apply applicable union wage rates, benefits, deductions, and payroll provisions
• Prepare required union and payroll reports
• Maintain accurate employee payroll records
• Process payroll adjustments, deductions, garnishments, reimbursements, and other payments
• Review payroll information for accuracy and regulatory compliance
• Reconcile payroll activity and resolve discrepancies
• Respond to employee payroll questions
• Coordinate with internal departments regarding employee and payroll changes
• Assist with payroll-related audits and compliance requests
• Maintain organized documentation and effective internal controls
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll accuracy and efficiency
