Phoenix Tailings is a rapidly growing clean mining and metals startup seeking a Senior Office of the CEO Associate to partner with the CEO on strategic priorities and cross-functional initiatives. You will shape insights, earn trust with senior leaders, and drive complex programs from initial questions to decisions and execution, leveraging strategic judgment and operating discipline.

Qualifications

• 4 to 7+ years of experience in consulting, investment banking, private equity, corporate strategy, or operating roles at scaling companies.
• Strong strategic and financial judgment with the ability to form clear recommendations from incomplete information.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional projects without formal authority.
• Excellent executive communication and the ability to tailor messages for different audiences.
• High discretion, low ego, and demonstrated trust with senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Own major CEO-sponsored initiatives from definition through execution.
• Develop recommendations on capital allocation, expansion, partnerships, new markets, and priorities.
• Lead cross-functional teams through influence and clear decision making.
• Represent the CEO's office in internal and external workstreams.
• Prepare materials for board meetings, investors, partners, customers, and executives.
• Identify emerging issues, define work, and move them toward resolution.
• Create operating plans, milestones, and accountability for multi-function initiatives.
• Coach junior team members and raise the quality of analysis and communication.
