Job summary

County of Sandoval is seeking a Transportation Driver for the CS Senior Center Rio Rancho to provide daily senior transportation to meal sites, appointments, and activities. You will assist clients in and out of vans, deliver meals, and monitor temperatures to ensure safe service delivery.

Candidates must have a HS Diploma/GED and a clean driving record. A NM driver’s license is required, with background checks and pre-employment drug screening.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience: High School Diploma/GED Certificate and driving experience with a clean record; preferred some transport/delivery experience with customer contact.
• Valid New Mexico driver’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Background check and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening; safety sensitive; random drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation services to senior clients to/from meal sites, appointments, and activities.
• Deliver meals to homebound clients and ensure proper meal temperatures.
• Assist clients into/out of vehicles and at destinations; ensure safety restraints are in place.
• Maintain daily records: mileage, passengers, trips, fuel usage; coordinate with supervisor on schedule changes.
