Job summary

The City of Eden Prairie is seeking a Recreation Supervisor to lead Senior Center operations at 8950 Eden Prairie Road, Eden Prairie MN 55347. This role develops, implements, and evaluates senior programs and events, while marketing to increase participation and quality of service.

You will recruit and supervise staff, manage budgets, coordinate rentals, and partner with community organizations to deliver high‑quality programs for seniors. Strong leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• Therapeutic Recreation emphasis preferred.
• Minimum of two years of relevant work experience.
• Minimum of two years of providing work direction.
• Minimum of one year of direct supervisory experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
• Experience using RecTrac or similar software.
• Experience with computer technology is required.

Responsibilities

• Manages and leads the daily operations at the Senior Center, developing and adjusting senior programs, events, and marketing to increase usage and service quality.
• Recruits, hires, trains, and supervises staff and volunteers; ensures proper training and timecard accuracy.
• Develops and enforces policies, manages budgets, and coordinates facility rentals and billing.
• Collaborates with other recreation supervisors to streamline processes and services for the community.
• Oversees senior volunteer programs, scheduling, training, and recognition; partners with local organizations.
• Supports teamwork and performs additional duties as needed.
