Job summary

Retro Biosciences in Redwood City is seeking a team member for the Microglia Therapeutics team, focusing on cell culture and GMP readiness. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with iPSC-derived cell types and a background in biology, capable of executing manufacturing tasks in an SOP-driven environment. Compensation ranges from $115,000 to $140,000 annually, with additional equity and benefits such as medical insurance and flexible time off.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience with B.S. or 3+ years with M.S.
• Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and bioreactors.
• Ability to work in structured, SOP-driven environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform culture of mammalian cells, mainly iPSCs using aseptic technique.
• Differentiate iPSCs to brain cell types like microglia in a bioreactor.
• Formulate media and reagents for PD and manufacturing activities.
• Follow SOPs and perform work in a GMP facility.
• Collaborate across Retro teams.
• Analyze and present experimental data.
• Maintain organized notes in electronic lab notebook.
• Conduct regular lab organization activities.
