Job summary

Milwaukee Tool seeks a Senior Engineer for the Cell Technology Team to drive battery cell innovations and evaluate new materials and chemistries with internal and external partners.

You will design and execute experiments, analyze electrochemical data, and collaborate across disciplines to integrate new technologies into our platform while maintaining strong ownership and communication. The role is based on-site in Wisconsin with a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in related battery technologies roles (2+ years in battery tech).
• Design, execute and analyze experiments for new materials and cell testing.
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines to integrate new technologies.
• Strong communication and ownership in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead scouting, designing and validating novel battery cell technologies focusing on energy, power, and cycle life.
• Execute experiments and analyze electrochemical data; investigate degradation mechanisms.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to integrate technologies into platforms.
• Provide root-cause analysis and drive data-driven decisions.

You will support the scouting and evaluation of new materials and chemistries and collaborate with internal and external partners. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone curious, independent, and eager to grow.The TOOLS you’ll need to have:A desire to lead the scouting, designing and validating of novel battery cell technologies, focusing on improving energy, power, charge rate and cycle life.The drive & ownership to design, execute, and analyze experiments related to new material and cell testing.The ability to collaborate across disciplines to integrate new technologies into our platforms.The expertise to analyze electrochemical data, carry out root cause analysis, and investigate degradation or failure mechanisms.The TOOLS you’ll bring with you:Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Electrochemistry, or a related field with 5+ years job experience (2+ years battery technologies) is required.
