Job summary

GFT's Treasure Coast Florida Construction Practice is seeking a CEI Sr. Project Engineer for the Construction Management and Construction Engineering Inspection group in the Central Florida Area.

The role focuses on delivering projects on schedule, within budget, and to FDOT standards, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality. This senior position requires effective English communication, leadership of staff, and the ability to oversee complex construction engineering administration and

Qualifications

• Must have strong English communication (verbal and written).
• B.S. in Civil Engineering and P.E. licensure in Florida.
• Six years of FDOT road/bridge experience, Central Florida focus.
• Master’s degree may substitute for one year of experience.
• FDOT Advanced MOT certification required.
• CTQP Quality Control Manager certification required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain construction project records per FDOT procedures.
• Interface with Owner, Contractor, and staff on contracts, payments, and testing.
• Support new project pursuits and oversee CM team.
• Lead project meetings and prepare reports.
• Prepare monthly progress reports; maintain project logs.
• Review daily inspection reports and quantity computations.
• Possess knowledge of FDOT Districts 1, 4 & 5 and Central Florida Turnpike.
• Direct and assign tasks to CEI staff throughout construction.
• Oversee progress and estimates during project duration.
• Strive to win and manage new projects and strengthen client relationships.
