Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an inspector to join their CEI team, performing complex and routine construction inspections at project sites across multiple locations. The role requires reading and interpreting plans, adherence to specifications, and effective communication of findings.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• 12 years of related experience required.
• Certifications in earthwork, asphalt and concrete may be required by client or jurisdiction.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex and routine inspections to ensure materials and processes meet plans and specifications.
• Use higher-grade equipment and perform complex calculations for inspections.
• Work under supervised or self-directed conditions as appropriate.
• Review drawings and prepare for construction inspection.
• Document and communicate inspection results to supervisor.
