Job summary
Volkert, Inc. is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to support the West Region across Denver, Fort Collins, and Colorado Springs, CO. The role requires extensive on-site leadership on heavy highway projects and direct accountability for project paperwork.
Ideal candidates have 10+ years of highway experience, CDOT project exposure, and strong skills in reading plans, Excel, Word, Project, and PMWeb. Willingness to relocate temporarily is expected, with a valid driver’s license and ability
Qualifications
- Ten years of heavy highway construction experience.
- Experience on CDOT construction projects.
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and specs.
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, Project, PMWeb and internet/email usage.
- Certifications: Colorado PE license, TC Supervisor, ACI Transportation Construction Inspection, and Erosion Control Training.
Responsibilities
- Oversee heavy highway construction with on-site presence.
- Serve as Engineer in Responsible Charge and manage project paperwork.
- Support assignments across Colorado front range with possible relocation.
- Report to Resident Engineer or Client and Volkert management.
