Job summary

Waste Management is seeking a CDL-B driver in Key West, FL to operate heavy-duty trucks and perform curbside pickup of waste and recyclables. You will conduct pre‑ and post‑trip checks, follow DOT/OSHA rules, and document routes and tickets.

The role includes safe driving, complex backing, and ensuring a clean work site at each stop. Requirements include at least 18 years old, English proficiency, and a CDL-B with air-brake endorsement.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak English well enough to interact with the public and complete reports.
• CDL Class B with an air-brake endorsement upon hire.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates a heavy-duty truck in accordance with OSHA, DOT and company policies.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections and reports issues promptly.
• Completes route documentation and ensures containers are set properly and cleaned at customer sites.
• Assists and supports other drivers as needed and communicates route issues to management.
