Job summary

Waste Management seeks CDL‑qualified drivers for on‑site roles operating heavy‑duty trucks across multiple line of business. You will transport material to disposal, transfer or recycle facilities, manage containers and back-up maneuvers, all while adhering to safety, OSHA and DOT requirements.

The position requires English proficiency, 18+ years old, and legal work eligibility in the United States. Base pay ranges from $24 to $26 per hour with benefits and a comprehensive compensation package.

Qualifications

• Requires CDL Class A or Class B with air-brake endorsement upon hire.
• Minimum 1 year driving a vehicle requiring a CDL or 1 year of equivalent military driving within the last 7 years.
• Must read, write and speak English well enough to interact with the public and complete records or reports.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located.

Responsibilities

• Operates vehicle according to Waste Management safety rules, OSHA and DOT requirements and local laws.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections and documents checks.
• Reports unsafe situations to Operations Manager or Dispatch.
• Attends training programs and meetings as required.
• Works with Operations Manager to improve route efficiency and identify best practices.
• Notifies Operations Manager of incidents, accidents or hazards.
• Communicates customer requests to Operations Manager or Dispatch.
• Dumps all receptacles and leaves the customer's location clean and debris-free.
• Follows route assignments and completes end-of-day documentation and checkout.
• Performs duties scheduled by Operations Manager or Dispatch and assists other drivers to meet customer needs.
