Job summary

Medline Industries, LP in Tracy, CA is seeking a Lead Driver to operate a straight truck, delivering life-saving medical products to local customers. You will build strong customer relationships by ensuring timely, accurate, and safe deliveries.

This role requires a Class A CDL, a minimum of 2 years tractor-trailer experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. You will mentor drivers, coordinate with dispatch, and maintain compliance with Federal and State transportation regulations.

Qualifications

• Must meet all Federal and State requirements for the operation of commercial motor vehicles.
• Must have a clean driving record with no serious violations.
• Frequently move, lift, carry supplies/equipment up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Motivate local transportation team - serving as a resource to drivers.
• Liaise between local transportation team and management - communicate goals and escalate as needed.
• Load and secure product from Medline Facility into a truck.
• Safely operate Class A or B vehicle on a delivery route, following safety regulations.
• Unload and deliver product at customer facilities, ensuring timely deliveries.
• Provide in-person support to customers and provide documentation upon delivery.
• Communicate route/schedule adjustments to dispatch to meet customer needs and maintain safety.
• Maintain travel and cargo logs per Federal and State regulations and company policy.
• Perform vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation and adequate fuel levels.
