Job summary

Medline Industries, LP is seeking a Lead Driver to operate straight trucks and transport life-saving medical products to local customers. You will build strong customer relationships with timely, accurate, and safe deliveries, and mentor the local transportation team.

Responsibilities include loading and securing goods, safe operation of Class A/B vehicles, coordinating with dispatch, maintaining logs per federal/state rules, and delivering on promises while answering customer questions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must meet all Federal and State CMV requirements and have a clean driving record.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Encourage success of the local transportation team and act as a motivator.
• Serve as liaison between the local transportation team and management; communicate goals and escalate as needed.
• Load and secure product from the Medline Facility into a truck.
• Safely operate a Class A or Class B vehicle on a delivery route.
• Follow safety regulations and perform safety checks.
• Unload and deliver product at customer facilities and provide documentation on delivery.
• Communicate with dispatch to adjust routes or schedules to meet customer needs.
• Maintain travel and cargo logs per Federal and State regulations and company policy.
• Inspect vehicle to ensure safe operation and adequate fuel.
