Job summary

Belcan seeks experienced CATIA CNC programmers for urgent contract opportunities in Seattle, WA and Portland, OR. Projects span aerospace, defense, medical devices, energy, and precision machining, offering short- to long-term assignments.

Roles require expertise in CNC programming, CAM software, process development, and shop-floor support. Position types include 1099/LLC with on-site, hybrid, or remote options depending on project needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC programming, CAM programming, or related experience in precision manufacturing.
• Strong experience with CATIA for programming and support.
• Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing processes from CAD/CAM to machine execution.
• Deep understanding of cutting tools, fixturing, workholding, and machining best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, optimize, and troubleshoot CNC programs using CATIA.
• Create efficient toolpaths and machining strategies for complex components.
• Support CNC machining operations through program prove-outs, first article runs, and process validation.
• Troubleshoot machining, programming, tooling, fixturing, and post-processor issues.
• Improve cycle times, machine utilization, quality, and overall manufacturing efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, tooling, and leadership to meet project objectives.
• Review drawings, CAD models, and GD&T requirements for manufacturing.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance productivity.
• Support new product introductions, process transfers, and capacity expansion.
