Job summary

Global Connect Technologies is an experienced Design Engineer with strong hands-on CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE expertise to support new product development and engineering design programs. You will contribute to complex surfacing, solid modeling, assembly design, and production drawings while adhering to PLM-controlled processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related engineering discipline.
• 6-8 years of professional experience in product design and development.
• Strong practical experience with CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE.
• Experience developing production-ready 3D CAD models and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of GD&T, manufacturing processes, and DFM principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and optimize 3D CAD models for new product development using CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE.
• Create and manage complex surface geometry using GSD and advanced surfacing techniques.
• Perform solid modeling, part design, feature development, and design modifications.
• Develop and maintain product structures and integrate components into assemblies.
• Validate designs for fit, function, packaging, manufacturability, and design intent.
• Implement engineering changes through ECR, ECO, ECN, and related change-control processes.
• Create detailed 2D production drawings with GD&T and tolerances.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, systems, testing, and other teams to resolve issues.
• Support product development activities from concept through prototype and production release.
• Ensure designs comply with customer requirements, standards, and PLM processes.
