Job summary

Global Connect Technologies in Missouri is seeking an experienced CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE Design Engineer to support new product development programs. You will design complex surfaces, solid models, and assemblies for production release in a PLM-controlled environment.

The role requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, proficiency in GD&T, and experience delivering production-ready CAD drawings and documentation onsite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 6 to 8 years of product design and development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE.
• Proven background in new product development program.
• Experience creating high-quality production-ready CAD models and drawings.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, manufacturing processes, and design-for-manufacturing principle.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work directly with customer engineering teams in an onsite environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify 3D CAD models for new component and product development using CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE.
• Create and manage complex surface geometry using Generative Shape Design techniques.
• Perform solid model creation, optimization, and design modifications based on engineering requirements.
• Integrate components into assemblies and validate fit, function, and manufacturability.
• Generate detailed production drawings, GD&T annotations, and engineering documentation.
• Support product development activities throughout the design lifecycle.
• Participate in design reviews and cross-functional engineering discussions.
• Ensure compliance with customer standards, design guidelines, and PLM processes.
• Provide general CAD support for ongoing design and development programs.
