Job summary

The Sr. Technician at Pulse Biosciences will build, test, and refine catheter-based medical devices used to deliver life-changing therapy. You will fabricate prototypes, run verification tests, and maintain precise documentation in a regulated medtech environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on lab or cleanroom experience, experience with catheter-based components, and proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, GD&T, and basic statistics. This onsite role is based in Hayward, CA.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred; or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Minimum 5 years laboratory or cleanroom experience in a regulated medical device or biotech environment.
• Experience building catheter-based devices and electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Familiarity with ISO 13485 and FDA design controls (21 CFR Part 820).
• Experience executing test protocols in a design controls environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble mechanical, electro-mechanical, and catheter-based prototypes per engineering drawings and build specifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in fine soldering techniques and high/low voltage cable assembly.
• Execute design verification and validation tests and record results.
• Maintain lab notebooks and data logs in compliance with design controls and quality systems.
• Assist engineers with troubleshooting assembly issues and fixture development; document findings and corrective actions.
• Fabricate and maintain test fixtures, jigs, and tooling for prototype builds.
• Support design transfer by creating work instructions and training production staff.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory and cleanroom environment.
