Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Sr. Category Manager – Specialty Materials to lead procurement strategies for biologics, animal tissue, collagen and related materials. You will manage supplier performance, negotiate terms, and balance supply continuity with cost and quality across multiple sites.

You will collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, R&D, and Technical Sourcing to qualify suppliers, conduct audits, and drive continuous improvement in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years procurement experience.
• Experience developing and executing category strategies and managing supplier relationships.
• Experience negotiating supplier agreements, commercial terms, and pricing arrangements.
• Experience analyzing supplier performance, market conditions, and sourcing risks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for biologics, animal tissue, collagen, xenograft-derived materials, and other specialty material categories.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance to support quality, delivery, cost, compliance, and business continuity objectives.
• Negotiate supplier agreements, pricing structures, capacity commitments, and terms aligned with goals.
• Analyze market conditions, supplier capabilities, supply constraints, and risk factors to inform sourcing decisions.
