The Senior Liability Adjuster will oversee investigations, coverage analysis, and all stages of litigation, collaborating with a nationwide network of offices. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience handling litigated CGL and BOP claims.
• Experience handling catastrophic California claims with litigation and complex exposures.
• Bachelor’s degree required; JD or attorney license preferred.
• Ability to interpret coverage and analyze policies and contracts for risk transfer opportunities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and technical skills.
• Effective time management with competing demands; willingness to travel for hearings and trials.
• Licensing: active adjuster license or ability to obtain/maintain state licenses with company support.

Responsibilities

• Handle large, catastrophic CGL and BOP claims with emphasis on California losses and litigated matters.
• Analyze policies, contracts, indemnifications, and additional insured provisions for coverage and risk transfer opportunities.
• Investigate claims, evaluate liability, and determine coverage applicability.
• Manage all phases of litigation from discovery to trial preparation.
• Review evidence, expert reports, and medical documentation.
• Establish reserves and process payments within authority.
• Take statements and manage claim documentation throughout the lifecycle.
