Job summary

American International Group seeks a Casualty Leader for the Western World to drive underwriting strategy and risk selection for non-admitted casualty products. You will lead cross-functional teams across underwriting, actuary, claims, product development, IT and legal to launch new offerings.

You will review large submissions, identify market opportunities and develop guidelines to support underwriters and brokers. This role requires senior industry experience and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Broad casualty insurance experience.
• 10+ years of operational management in insurance.
• Knowledge of market segmentation and portfolio management.
• Advanced knowledge of reinsurance.
• Strong influencing and communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve large submissions beyond authority.
• Develop underwriting strategies and risk selection criteria.
• Provide technical guidance on casualty coverage forms, endorsements, and exclusions.
• Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, claims, product development, IT and legal.
• Speak at broker events and industry conferences.
• Develop marketing materials and product positioning.
• Identify new market opportunities and cross-sell opportunities.
• Monitor product profitability and manage casualty portfolio to meet objectives.
