Job summary

At AIG, the Casualty Coverage and Mass Tort Senior Claims Adjuster will handle complex claims involving GL and Environmental coverage, with exposure to long-tail bodily injury, construction defect, and toxic tort issues. You’ll manage counsel, assess damages, and advise on product changes while collaborating with underwriting and claims teams in a policy-rich environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Legal, Insurance, Construction Defect or Environmental experience preferred.
• Ability to handle sophisticated coverage issues and complex claims.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate coverage on sophisticated insurance products.
• Hire and manage counsel to evaluate coverage and defend insureds.
• Assess damages with support of outside experts.
• Evaluate financial impact to AIG and to our insureds.
• Formulate and execute strategies for favorable claim resolution; negotiate with insureds and third parties.
• Advise business partners on exposures and potential product changes.
