Job Description Summary

The Senior Casting Technology Engineer will provide technical support for the Structural Castings team including supplier development, execution, and technology breakthroughs. You will support engineering efforts associated with the casting manufacturing process. You will align with various internal business functions including but not limited to Design/Material/Quality Engineering, Procurement, and Manufacturing Programs.

Expected travel 50-60% for this position. This position is eligible for remote work.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

+ Technical process ownership for sand castings.

+ Partner with sourcing team members on Casting supplier development and cost out projects

+ Mentor suppliers in the application of quality tools & requirements and new technologies

+ Work cross functionally with quality and design engineers to ensure that new processes achieve established metrics

+ Design and implement manufacturing processes and systems for control and replenishment of materials

+ Plan and implement process-engineering activities for new product development and current product support

+ Investigate and apply new technology

+ Pursue continuous improvement for quality and cost reductions in designated area

+ Act as change agent, understanding and moving the operation toward world-class performance

+ Communicate progress & challenges to leadership teams

Required Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/ GED with a minimum of 4 years Aerospace Casting Experience)

+ Minimum of 5 years Sand, Investment, and/or Centrifugal Casting experience

The base pay range for this position is 111,700.00 – 148,800.00 – 186,200.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan.
