Qualifications

The Atlantic Region CBO seeks a dynamic and talented Cashiering Specialist. The primary responsibility of this role is to work with the Cashiering Manager and Team Lead to coordinate training and process improvements within the cashiering department. Ensures timely posting of all remittances to patient accounts and compliance with Sox audit through bank reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing initial and ongoing staff training on policies and procedures.
  • Completing daily cashiering functions, including deposit preparation and reconciliation.
  • Processing cash receipts and posting payments, adjustments, and allowances promptly.
  • Researching and resolving issues related to the unapplied cash account.
  • Correcting errors and ensuring timely delivery of recaps.
  • Serving as a resource to resolve posting issues.
  • Reviewing and creating reconciliation reports.
  • Assisting with month-end closing procedures.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Customer-focused with attention to detail, multitasking, and excellent communication skills
  • Experience with insurance collections and healthcare business office preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred
  • 3-5 years cash posting experience preferred
