Job summary

Tides Family Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Caseworker to provide in-home and community supervision to clients and families across multiple locations in Rhode Island.

The role includes daily face-to-face contacts and on-call responsibilities within a 2/3-person team schedule. You will work with an integrated team of caseworkers, behavioral assistants and clinicians to develop treatment goals, conduct evaluations, coordinate services, and advocate for clients while maintaining crisis

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Valid driver’s license and registered/inspected vehicle required.
• Bilingual preferred: Spanish, Portuguese, Creole.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home and community supervision with daily face-to-face attempts and on-call responsibilities.
• Collaborate with a team of caseworkers, behavioral assistants and clinicians to develop treatment goals; conduct evaluations and utilization reviews.
• Maintain crisis and trauma counseling to ensure client and family safety.
• Build partnerships with community providers to increase access to services.
• Ensure quality service metrics and accurate data entry in documentation and reports.
• Serve as liaison between program, community and neighbors to strengthen partnerships.
• Participate in required meetings and coordinate activities for all clients.

Description

The Senior Caseworker is responsible for providing in-home and community strengths-based supervision to clients and families across multiple locations. This includes face to-face attempts daily and on-call responsibilities as per team schedules. Working collaboratively across an integrated team of caseworkers, behavioral assistants, and clinicians, the Senior Caseworker develops treatment goals, conducts evaluation/utilization reviews, provides resources, advocacy, routine assessments, transportation, and adaptive living skills. Crisis and trauma counseling are maintained to ensure client and family safety, while collaborations with community partners are built to increase access to services.

Reporting Structure: Reports to the Caseworker Supervisor.

Essential Functions:

• Provide in-home and community strengths-based supervision to clients and families across multiple locations (3x face to face attempts daily and on-call responsibility according to 2/3-person team schedules) with targeted outcomes within an expected timeframe.
• Work collaboratively with across integrated team of caseworkers, behavioral assistants and clinicians to develop treatment goals, evaluation/utilization review, provide resources, advocacy, perform routine assessments, transportation, adaptive living skills and build relationships with clients and families.
• Maintain crisis and trauma counseling and other services to help ensure client and family safety.
• Build and sustain collaborations with community partners, including health, education, vocation, legal and family intervention providers with the goal of increasing access to services.
• Ensure quality service metrics are met through ongoing releases of information, permission forms, informed consent forms, treatment plans, treatment notes, utilization review forms, closing summaries, case review, daily reporting, and accuracy of data entry into TFS electronic notes platform or other reporting measures.
• Serve as liaison/advocate between the program, community, and surrounding neighbors to build partnerships.
• Support activities, services and programs that uphold NASW professional boundaries and are culturally sensitive to clients and families.
• Attend and participate in all required program meetings across locations including program coordinator meetings, biweekly supervision with leadership, run downs, and all staff meetings.
• Coordinate activities and resources that can benefit all clients and families within TFS.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree – Required.
• Valid driver’s license and registered/inspected vehicle – Required.
• Bilingual; Spanish, Portuguese, Creole – Preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• 1 – 4 years’ experience in human services, healthcare, and other non-profit agencies.
• Demonstrates a safe, strengths-based environment while continuously using everyday supervision to teach, guide, and support youth and families with their goals and challenges to remain in the home and in their communities.
• Capacity for senior case management utilizing counseling techniques, program structure, guidelines and crisis intervention and to use metrics to ensure accountability.

Salary Range:

$47,000-$57,000
