Job summary

The Ely Child Welfare office is recruiting for a Casework Management Specialist Supervisor (CMSS). You will supervise staff, review work products, and base decisions on sound judgment and policy.

You will educate staff on NV statutes, Administrative Code, and UNITY requirements, guiding casework using approved practice models. Responsibilities include leading case planning, coaching junior workers, coordinating with courts, and ensuring timely, accurate court reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and four years of professional casework experience.
• Knowledge of NV statutes and Administrative Code is required.
• Ability to educate subordinate staff on IVE requirements and local court rules.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and implement case plans and safety plans to support safety, permanency and well-being of clients; assess needs and advise on rights and responsibilities.
• Provide weekly 1:1 supervision to first-year caseworkers and biweekly supervision thereafter.
• Ensure UNITY windows are completed timely; ensure court reports are accurate, thorough, and filed per local rules.
• Consult, coach and mentor staff re: individual cases, emphasizing family engagement.
• Coordinate with court stakeholders, care providers, and other agencies to exchange information and resolve issues.
• Prepare and deliver trainings on a wide variety of child welfare topics.
