Qualifications

• Completion of a US DOL-registered carpentry apprenticeship and journey-level status, plus 4 years journey-level carpentry experience, 2 in supervision.
• Alternative apprenticeship program plus 6 years journey-level Carpenter experience, with 2 years in supervision.
• Eight years journey-level carpentry with 2 years in supervision.

Responsibilities

• Study blueprints and project specs; inspect sites to determine scope and resources.
• Prioritize, schedule, and assign work to foremen and crews based on urgency and resources.
• Review cost estimates for completeness and accuracy; authorize material requisitions.
• Inspect carpentry work to ensure conformance with specs and schedules; ensure quality.
• Coordinate carpentry with other trades to ensure orderly workflows; improve processes.
• Oversee safety procedures and staff training; conduct performance appraisals and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Prepare project management reports and monitor progress; streamline procedures for cost savings.
