Job summary

Garney Construction is seeking an experienced Carpenter to build, erect, install, and repair structures using wood, steel, plywood, and concrete. The role emphasizes precision, efficiency, and field safety in daily tasks.

The candidate will verify structural trueness with professional tools, construct forms for concrete, tie reinforcing steel, and operate a range of hand and power tools. Overtime and reliable transportation are expected.

Qualifications

• Firm knowledge of carpenter structures, forms, and tools.
• Must be willing to complete Fall Protection Certification and OSHA 10 (provided by Garney).
• Must be willing to work overtime.
• Must have access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Verifying the trueness of structures with plumb bob, lasers, carpenter level, squares, and transits prior to concrete placements.
• Constructing forms and chutes for concrete placement.
• Assembling and tying reinforcing steel.
• Operating hand tools and power tools, such as saws, drills, roto hammers, grinders.
