Job summary

City of Dallas is seeking a Senior Carpenter to perform journey-level carpentry and masonry work in city facilities, ensuring safe, functional, and presentable spaces. You will construct, repair, and maintain wood structures, fixtures, and furnishings in accordance with building codes.

You will lead other carpenters, coordinate with related trades, and contribute to timely repairs and seasonal facility maintenance as needed. A valid driver’s license and TSA background screening are required.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of carpentry and/or general construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled carpentry work including fabrication and maintenance of wood structures and fixtures.
• Provide leadership to other carpenters and oversee quality of workmanship.
• Repair doors, frames, locks, masonry, tile, and related wood furnishings; read floorplans and measure jobs.
