Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital (Washington University Medical Center) seeks a skilled Carpenter to maintain hospital facilities and off-site buildings. You will Sketch, build and install finishes, perform preventative maintenance and coordinate with other trades to ensure quality workmanship.

Minimum requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and 2–5 years in carpentry or building maintenance. A degree from an associate/trade program is a plus; a strong safety mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Carpentry/Gen Bldg Maintenance experience required.
• 2-5 years of experience preferred.
• Associate or trade school equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sketches, builds and installs all facility finishes using a variety of materials.
• Performs preventative maintenance.
• Coordinates work with other trades as necessary.
• Assists with maintaining par levels of essential inventory materials and hardware items.
