Job summary

Zekai is seeking a Senior Cargo Condition and Securing Surveyor for a global remote contract. The role involves expert analysis of reefer and temperature-controlled shipments, damage assessment, and securing practices to inform training of advanced AI models.

You will review logs, prepare findings, and contribute to high-quality survey reports. Ideal candidates have extensive cargo surveying experience, strong written communication, and the ability to deliver precise, well-reasoned explanations

Qualifications

• 7+ years of cargo surveyor experience focusing on reefer and temperature-controlled shipments, containerized cargo, or securing/lashing practices.
• Experience reviewing inspection logs, damage reports, and compliance documentation for marine or land-based logistics.
• Strong analytical judgment and meticulous documentation/reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate refrigerated and temperature-controlled cargo documentation and logs to assess compliance and issues.
• Analyze damage reports and transport evidence to determine condition, causation, and losses.
• Perform remote assessments of container integrity, securing methods, and lashing arrangements from shipment records.
• Review hatch-cover inspection reports and marine cargo documents for sealing and weatherproofing compliance.
• Draft clear, professional surveyor findings and damage attributions with detailed reasoning for signed reports.
• Provide structured feedback to support AI model training for cargo logistics and compliance.
