Job summary

NORTH EAST MEDICAL SERVICES in San Francisco, CA is seeking a compassionate caregiver to assist residents with activities of daily living, promote independence and maintain a safe, respectful living environment.

You will observe residents, report changes, and provide care aligned with the plan of care, including bathing, grooming, and mobility support. Requirements include HS diploma, First Aid and CPR/BLS certifications, and ability to work flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Sufficient education to demonstrate functional literacy.
• Previous experience in a health care setting or work with the elderly population preferred.
• Must maintain current First Aid certification.
• Must maintain current CPR or BLS certification.
• Ability to receive and maintain a California Background Clearance through the Department of Social Services.
• Desire to work with the elderly.
• Good physical and mental health.
• Maintain a well-groomed professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, transfers and mobility.
• Provide care according to plan of care and physician orders.
• Promote independence and highest possible quality of life for residents.
• Observe residents for changes and report to supervisor.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and facility information.
• Complete required documentation of care and services delivered during shift.
