Job summary

Laurelwood-Assisted-Living- in Dayton, OH is seeking a compassionate CNA/STNA/Caregiver to provide attentive geriatric care, develop lasting trust with residents, and contribute to a warm, supportive home for seniors.

You will observe changes, assist with activities of daily living per care plans, document observations, and collaborate with the nursing team to ensure safe, respectful care in a long‑term or assisted living setting.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or State Tested Nursing Assistants (STNA) certification required.
• Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently.
• Ability to read, write, speak & understand the English language.
• Must have no finding in the registry concerning abuse, neglect, or misappropriation of resident property.
• Can foster good resident and family relationships.
• Ability to collaborate within a team environment.
• A passion for working with elderly residents.
• Experience in a long-term or assisted living facility a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report changes in patient's condition to the supervising nurse.
• Assist with geriatric care needs.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living according to individual care plans.
• Observes residents and reports to nursing any changes in physical, mental, and emotional condition.
• Communicates and interacts in a professional, respectful, and hospitable manner.
