Job summary

The University of Kansas Transition to Postsecondary Education (KU TPE) seeks a Senior Career Advisor to lead the career development and employment pillar. You will coordinate activities, build employer partnerships, and guide students with individualized career planning.

Responsibilities include securing internships, delivering career development instruction, and collaborating with KU units and community providers. Travel may be required; flexible hours may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with relevant experience in employment/transition services.
• Experience with young adults with disabilities in employment or transition planning is preferred.
• Strong written communication and organizational skills evidenced by materials.
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online tools required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day activities for career development and employment initiatives.
• Develop and sustain employer partnerships and KU unit collaborations.
• Provide career counseling, resume/cover letter guidance, and job search support.
• Monitor data, reporting, and program evaluation for KU TPE.
