This role involves evaluating and treating patients for communication and cognitive impairments, establishing individualized treatment goals, and being an integral part of a senior rehabilitation team.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree from an accredited graduate program in speech language pathology school.
• Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist / SLP, or ability to obtain prior to beginning employment.
• Excellent interpersonal, fiscal, and clinical skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients for swallowing disorders and communication/cognitive impairments.
• Establish treatment goals and develop appropriate treatment programs.
• Provide rehabilitative services to patients under specific medical orders.
• Participate in clinical conferences to share and coordinate care plans.
• Treat residents one on one in private treatment sessions.
