Job summary

Woodridge Assisted Living Facility is seeking a dedicated Medication Aide to safely administer medications, monitor residents’ health, and support the nursing team in delivering high-quality care. The role emphasizes accuracy, organization, and compassionate interaction with residents.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, a state-approved Medication Aide training, and at least 1 year of related healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a state-approved Medication Aide training program preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of healthcare, senior living, or long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Medication administration: accurately prepare, administer, and document medications according to orders and protocols.
• Health monitoring: observe residents, measure vitals, and report changes to the nursing team.
• Resident engagement: build positive relationships and encourage participation in wellness activities.
• Safety & compliance: follow infection control procedures and maintain compliant medication records and carts.
