Job summary
Carolina Meadows, located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, is a continuing-care retirement community dedicated to enriching the lives of residents and those connected to our community. We seek a dedicated Medication Technician for full-time 1st shift to support residents' health and well-being in our Assisted Living facility.
You will administer medications, document accurately in the EHR, assist with ADLs, and communicate changes to the nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Current North Carolina Medication Technician (Med Tech) certification.
- Current North Carolina Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Minimum of one year of CNA experience preferred.
- Proven ability to administer medications safely and accurately.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and caring attitude toward the elderly.
Responsibilities
- Administer and assist residents with medications as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with policies and state regulations.
- Accurately document medication administration and resident health information in the EHR system.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and report changes in residents' health or behavior to the nursing staff.
- Provide emotional and social support to residents, fostering a positive and engaging atmosphere.
- Contribute to a safe, compassionate environment and positive resident care outcomes.
