Job summary

Region VII Area Agency on Aging/PACE seeks a Driver/Transportation Care Assistant for Sunrise PACE Center in Fort Gratiot, MI to provide safe participant transportation and support care plans. The role supports independence and wellbeing for seniors in the community.

Requires clear English communication, a valid chauffeur's license, CPR/First Aid training, and a clean driving record; experience with frail populations is preferred. Position is on-site with non-profit benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to clearly communicate orally and in writing.
• Interest in working with medically frail elders.
• Current CPR and First Aid training or completed prior to working independently after hire.
• Valid Chauffeur’s Driver’s license with a good driving record
• Experience working with a frail or elderly population preferred.
• Must read, write, and speak English clearly and confidentially.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation to participants in a timely manner.
• Communicate important information to the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Assist on trips to the Center and appointments, maintaining patient dignity and comfort.
