Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. The role emphasizes food quality, safety, and positive interactions with residents and staff. Training and supportive environment provided.

Starting pay is USD $19.00 per hour. The position requires adherence to dietary restrictions, safety policies, and potential ServSafe or Food Handler certification depending on state regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a cook or in food preparation is preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• May need to complete an approved sanitation or safety course.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification may be required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; maintain a clean kitchen.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
