Job summary

Visiting Angels Paris, TX is hiring a Companion Caregiver to provide home-based companionship and support to senior clients across the local area, including Bonham, Sulphur Springs, Paris, and surrounding towns.

As a Companion Caregiver, you will assist with light housekeeping, meal planning, mobility support, medication reminders, and transportation as needed, while promoting independence and dignity in a home setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Reliable transportation to client visits.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Training/knowledge in First Aid and emergency response.
• A heart for vulnerable people seeking meaningful companionship.
• Willingness to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Managing light housekeeping.
• Encouraging clients to meet their exercise and fitness goals.
• Prompting clients to take their prescription medications at the right times.
• Helping clients with shopping and putting away groceries (or shopping for them).
• Planning and preparing meals in collaboration with clients (based on client ability).
• Assisting clients with mobility and ambulation.
