Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, offering companionship, monitoring well‑being, aiding with meals and hydration, and documenting care per state regulations. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and respectful resident interactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous caregiving or assisted living experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work with compassion with older adults.
• Basic knowledge of infection control and resident rights.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ condition to nursing staff.
• Support residents with meal assistance and hydration.
• Assist with light housekeeping and room organization to maintain a clean environment.
• Promote resident safety through proper use of equipment and fall prevention techniques.
• Escort residents to activities and appointments as needed.
• Follow individualized care plans and document services provided.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
