Location: Chatsworth Road, Chesterfield, Derbyshire, S40 3BQ

Job Type: Permanent | Shift Type: Days | Closing Date: 30 May 2025

Pay: £13.80 per hour

Role Overview: Are you a Senior Care Assistant looking to further develop your skills? Our Senior Care Assistants play a key role in ensuring each person living within our homes receives the care they need to live a fulfilling life.

Rates of pay:

• NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care: £12.81 per hour
• NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care: £13.80 per hour

Shifts available: Part-time and full-time, from 22 to 44 hours per week

Introduction to the Role

Orchard Care Homes is committed to delivering high-quality individual care tailored to each person’s needs. Our focus is on appropriate medication management and providing meaningful activities for all residents.

As a Senior Care Assistant, your responsibilities include assessing individual needs, developing person-centered care plans, and ensuring medical, physical, and emotional needs are met. We provide additional training to ensure competency in medication administration.

Experience in older people's care or dementia care is preferred. A Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care is ideal, but we support Level 2 qualified staff to achieve Level 3 through our career pathway.

Main Duties

• Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate high-standard personalized nursing care.
• Ensure residents are treated with respect and dignity, respecting their privacy, independence, and choices.
• Lead, supervise, support, and develop the care team.
• Communicate effectively with external professionals, residents, and relatives.
