ODD Fellows Home of Massachusetts seeks an Activity Assistant to support residents through engaging recreation and social activities. The coordinator will assist with assessments, document preferences, and help implement care plans to enhance resident well-being.

The role emphasizes leading activity programs on a full-time schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed, while collaborating with the Activity Director and care team to promote a vibrant living environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with the elderly.
• At least 1 year experience in Elderly Recreation Program or completion of the Activities Director’s Basic Course.

Responsabilités

• Assist with the activity component of the resident assessment within required timeframes.
• Document activity interests and care plan updates every 3 months or as conditions change.
• Plan and implement Reality Orientation and Validation one-to-one.
• Lead weekday activity programs and cover evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Maintain daily activity attendance records and ensure infection control procedures.
• Collaborate with facility staff to promote resident safety and rights.
