Job summary

6 Degrees Search is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Cardiologist to join a well-established, physician-led group on Long Island. A competitive compensation package and flexible hours, Monday-Friday with no on-call requirements, are offered.

The role involves serving as a key clinical provider, performing comprehensive assessments, managing cardiovascular conditions, and developing individualized treatment plans while ensuring top-tier patient care and collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree with board certification in Cardiology.
• Licensed in NY or eligible for licensure.
• Strong diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Team-oriented with a patient-centered approach to care.
• Familiarity with EMRs and value-based care metrics is a plus.
• Entrepreneurial mindset to grow and manage a thriving patient base.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality cardiac care as a clinical provider.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments including history-taking, physical exams, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
• Manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions using evidence-based practices.
• Create and oversee individualized treatment plans that promote long-term heart health.
• Provide clear communication and education to patients regarding diagnoses, options, and preventive strategies.
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation within the EMR system.
• Collaborate with referring physicians, specialists, and care teams to ensure seamless patient care.
• Provide clinical oversight to nurses, technologists, and support staff.
• Mentor clinical trainees including students, physician extenders, and interns.
• Stay compliant with HIPAA, NYS DOH, CMS, and relevant payer guidelines.
• Participate in population health initiatives and support ongoing quality improvement projects.
• Contribute to the development of a sustainable patient panel aligned with practice growth objectives.
