Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health - Legacy Heart Center Plano is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer 2 to perform basic to advanced cardiac ultrasound studies, including transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress tests for adults. You will prepare equipment and prep patients.

You will review images, report findings, and evaluate patient history to guide clinical decisions. You will work with physicians to interpret results, extend studies as needed, and support ICAEL accreditation activities.

Qualifications

• RDCS or RCS certification/license is required.
• 2+ years of Cardiac Sonography experience.
• Ability to work in a large, fast-paced practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
• Competent scanning of resting Echos.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for procedures and obtain clinical history.
• Perform basic to advanced cardiac ultrasound procedures and measurements.
• Identify and define cardiac abnormalities; extend examination scope as needed.
• May assist physicians in procedures and operate rooms with cardiologists.
• Record statistics and maintain the Echocardiography Lab equipment.
• Support ICAEL accreditation activities and adhere to quality protocols.
