UChicago Medicine's Adult Cardiac Cath Lab in Hyde Park seeks a Cardiac Catheterization Technician II for a full-time, onsite role. You will support patients before, during, and after procedures, set up and troubleshoot cardiovascular equipment, and assist cardiologists during invasive studies.

Responsibilities include maintaining sterile technique, monitoring hemodynamics, labeling and passing instruments, and contributing to quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Cardiac Catheterization Technician.
• Thorough knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Current RCES/RCIS/CEPS certification.
• Ability to take overnight and weekend call.

Responsabilités

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot X-ray and hemodynamic equipment.
• Assist cardiologists during invasive catheter and stent procedures.
• Prepare patients and sites using aseptic technique.
• Monitor patient status and hemodynamic data during procedures.
• Maintain inventory and arrange sterile reprocessing.
• Support quality improvement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
