Job summary

Shield AI in San Diego, CA is seeking a Capture Strategy & Operations Senior Lead for the X-BAT FoS to strengthen strategy, proposal development, and operating rigor across priority domestic and international pursuits.

You will translate leadership direction, customer requirements, and program priorities into compelling capture materials, win themes, and coordinated execution plans, coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring compliance with DoD acquisition processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or higher degrees with progressively more responsibility.
• 2+ years in management consulting, capture strategy/operations, or high-rigor analytical environments.
• Experience supporting defense/aerospace/U.S. Government pursuits.
• Strong ability to develop/write RFI/RFP/RFQ responses and white papers.
• Superior PowerPoint, editing, and quality-control skills.
• Ability to craft capture storylines, win themes, and differentiated value propositions.
• Ability to structure ambiguous problems and coordinate cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine capture strategies for priority domestic and international pursuits.
• Translate customer priorities into differentiated capture approaches and messaging frameworks.
• Create leadership-ready strategy presentations and pursuit-planning materials.
• Lead development of analytic responses to RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and capability statements.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to produce clear, persuasive narratives.
• Ensure alignment with customer requirements and Shield AI messaging.
• Provide editorial and quality-control support for proposals and related materials.
• Support kickoff meetings, content development, reviews, and color-team activities.
