Job summary

Boys’ Latin of Philadelphia seeks a Senior Capstone and College Access Teacher to guide seniors through the college process. The role includes leading the Senior Seminar, coordinating applications, and advising on financial aid, essays, and interviews, with a focus on equity and outcomes.

The position requires a 12‑month schedule, including evenings and weekends at key milestones, reporting to the Director of Counseling on the high school campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Experience in writing instruction, college admissions counseling, or high school teaching is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple students and deadlines with strong organizational skills.
• Familiarity with Naviance/Scoir/Common App platforms and college counseling workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Senior Seminar course, coordinating curriculum and assessment.
• Manage a caseload of 40–50 seniors through college applications and matriculation.
• Guide FAFSA, CSS Profile, essays, and resumes in collaboration with counselors.
• Coordinate college visits, interviews, and yield events with staff and families.
• Support summer bridge programs and post-graduation transitions.
